Unbeaten Keshi Boom a New Stakes Winner for Spirit of Boom.

A huge day of racing around Australia produced a new stakes-winner for Eureka Stud’s Spirit of Boom with unbeaten three year-old filly Keshi Boom toppling race favourite Super Smink to win the Listed WATC Burgess Queen Stakes (1400m) at Ascot. Trained by Grant and Alana Williams and ridden by Willie Pike, Keshi Boom won on debut at Belmont in July before having a break during the winter and resuming to win over 1000m at Northam last month. Stepped out to 1400m, Keshi Boom settled back in the field and when angled into the clear was able to charge home and beat Super Smink by a length and a half running away.

Keshi Boom was a $120,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale purchase for Williams Racing from the Eureka Stud draft and she’s already banked over $100,000 in prizemoney from her first three starts. Keshi Boom is a three-quarter sister-in-blood to Group II winner Prince of Boom and stakes-winner Simply Fly being the best of three winners from Pearls for Me, a winning half-sister by Red Dazzler to Group II winner Express Air.

Keshi Boom is the 23rd stakes-winner for Spirit of Boom, who stands at a fee of $38,500 this spring.
