Yearlings 2017

Spirit of Boom's first yearlings were highly sought in the 2017 sales with the success of Spirit of Boom's first yearling crop. Offered all over Australia, to give interstate trainers and owners opportunity to own a "Boom" and see them race across the Nation, he achieved outstanding results off his $11,000 service fee. First in the ring at the January Magic Millions, his Session 1 half dozen averaged $120,000 with a $210,000 top price tag for the filly out our Pure Purrfection (by General Nediym).  Over the whole Gold Coast MM January, he sold 13 to average $80,697. On to Sydney and the Inglis Classic Sale where 6 sold to average $52,500. Next over the ditch to NZ Karaka, where two offered, two sold to average $47,500. Back to Melbourne Inglis Premier for 3 to sell well for an average of $45,000. To Adelaide Magic Millions Book 1, 4 offered, 4 sold to average $38,874. Finally back in at the QLD March Magic Millions, his large draft tallied 30 sold to average $28,733
In total he sold 63 yearlings across Australasia to average $41,000. In his first three seasons he ranked supreme covering good books of mares with over 90% fertility setting him off to boom beginnings, now showing in his yearling sale success. Eureka born, bred and raced, Spirit of Boom stood his first season at stud at a fee of $11,000 (inc gst) and now entering his 4th season he will stand at the same fee. A true Queenslander, a son of Sequalo, bred from generations of Eureka broodmare blood, inc. the Semipalatinsk broodmare sire line, he is a 2yo stakeswinner, twice Gr 1 winning sprinter, and a tough, consistent group performer at elite level across Australia. "We are overwhelmed with the support the breeders and shareholders gave him and we are really pleased with the way the market has accepted him and delighted for breeders' sales successs. He is been given an Nation wide opportunity now with some of his stock entering some of Australia's leading stables. We wish to thank all those who supported him by way of breeding or buying and now hope like hell he  becomes a great success story." said Scott McAlpine.
