Champion Queensland Stallion 2020/2021 Season
Spirit of Boom continues to dominate the Queensland Champion Sire award, having now won it in three out of four seasons that he has been represented with progeny to race. His best runner in the 2020/21 season was Jonker who collected $887,000 of the total earnings of $7,754,485. Spirit of Boom had 221 runners with 115 of them recording a total of 205 wins in Australia.
Spirit of Boom finished 18th on the Australian General Sires by Earnings, 12th by Winners and 8th for Individual Wins. All of his runners were produced off an $11,000 advertised fee, and is the only stallion in the Top 20 of any category to feature with all their runners from a fee at this level or lower.
His winners to runners rate for the season was 52%, which was only bettered by other Australian sires I Am Invincible (58.1%), Zoustar (57.4%) and Deep Field (52.6%) in the Top 20.
All attention in the new season will be on Spirit of Boom’s $55,000 conceived crop which run as 2yos.
